steam bent in our studio with a hand carved texture on the bend and natural live edge, this fully curved bottomed piece allows for a gentle wobble if you give it a push. the vase is handcrafted from beautiful rich burr elm from one of the last surviving burr elms at shorncliffe barracks folkestone, felled to make way for a housing estate. the elms became so full of burrs from being pollarded at a 2 storey height.
